PHOBIA

copyright Nikki Soarde 2005

A contemporary Quickie with some light bondage.

Available in e-book formats from Ellora's Cave.

Dani has a secret.  She has a horrible, paralyzing fear of the dentist's office but can't tell Luke,  her partner and lover, since he fixes children's teeth for a living.

But when Dani develops a problem that is in urgent need of treatment she is no longer able to hide the truth from Luke, and he takes it upon himself to cure her of her phobia.  His techniques are inventive and somewhat unorthodox, but they leave no room for compromise. They force her to face her fear and deal with it. They leave her sweating and breathless--and begging for more.

Reviews

Phobia is an extremely nuanced short story. Ms. Soarde brings her readers into the middle of a well-developed relationship to explore the growth that can and must occur between two people who have expressed their love and commitment to each other. I really liked the dimensions of the story. ~ Jacqueline, eCataRomance Reviews

Luke has to find a way to prove to Dani that dentists are the sadistic creatures she has always believed them to be. His methods are fun, sexy, and sure to raise the temperature of the reader. So how does he cure Dani? Be sure to read PHOBIA to find out. ~ Sarah W., Romance Junkies (Blue Ribbon Rating – 4)

Luke’s character is a wet dream for most women. He is kind considerate and sexy as hell and dominant to boot. Even though [Dani] trusts him in bed to tie her up, her lack of trust in him about her secret shakes him to the core. Ms. Soarde takes the characters on a special journey to the deepest parts of their souls. The sex is scorching and I had to be careful of the steam coming out of my ears. ~ Julie Esparza, Just Erotic Romance Reviews  (Rating 5 stars)

Dani and Luke are intriguing characters, and the plotline is fresh. Luke cares about Dani and wants to erase the bad memories and replace them with good ones. Dani just wants him to leave it the heck alone. However, once he gets her to his office and over the worst of her fear, everything comes together, rather explosively.  I know I will never look at a visit to the dentist's office the same way again. ~ Sinclair Reid, Romance Reviews Today
